Darren Johnson

Darren Johnson is an experienced and highly skilled Project Manager and Industrial Hygienist at Banner Environmental. Darren brings to the table a wide range of competencies, from asbestos and mold sampling to job estimation, sales, and project management. In his 4-year journey with Banner, Darren appreciates the varied nature of his work and the supportive environment the company provides. He acknowledges that each day is a new learning opportunity and values how the company’s ownership goes above and beyond for its employees.

Darren’s foray into Environmental Services came as an unexpected career turn. After a shoulder injury impeded his work managing a high-end restaurant, a friend introduced him to the field of asbestos and lead, setting him on his current career path. Darren faced his toughest challenge while working on a major project, where managing numerous daily air and bulk samples required the collective effort of four project monitors. His advice to newbies in the industry is to continue learning, not be afraid to ask questions, and to consider regulatory bodies as allies.

Away from Banner, Darren is a proud father of two bright, sporty children. His active participation in sports extends to his community, where he’s spent many years coaching basketball and baseball. He loves watching his children play sports and is a big fan of Disney, with most family vacations ending up at Disney World. His bucket list includes a vacation in Greece – a gentle nudge to his employers for his next bonus!
